HOLY SHIT YOU HAVE 34 TODDLERS?
darkestdawn73darkestdawn73 on November 1st, 2016 01:25 am (UTC)
That's the same thing I said. What the fuck is wrong with me!!!!!
scribal_goddessscribal_goddess on November 2nd, 2016 12:33 am (UTC)
Yeah, that is a lot of people in the hood. My Riverblossom Hills has like a total of 34 playable sims.

(Well, I'm rebuilding, so I culled the boring ones and am saying that they moved away.)

So, actual commentary now that my internet is back:

Holly Goodacre munches on Mr. Bear Naked‘s ear. Maybe she needs a snack with a little less fiber.

Holly, sweetie, polyester fiberfill isn't dietary fiber.

Everybody's gonna have such skills when they're kids. (I think you mentioned the first batch is aging up next rotation?) And there's going to be definite cliques, I can feel it. Also the tot conga line is hilarious and terrifying.

Hi Kenna! XD XD. (I have favorites. So sue me. :) )

So... question. Are you teaching the tots their skills in birth order/the order they'll age up?

Wow, parent night was a cluster. 0.0
darkestdawn73darkestdawn73 on November 2nd, 2016 02:17 am (UTC)
Yep in Spring the first-borns age up and the Queen B, Miss Landgraab, already has her crew of "cool kids." The Goodacres are NOT included.

Yes, I'm teaching them in birth order. I was doing it willy-nilly in the beginning but decided that I needed to do it that way when I had more and more toddlers. So even though the orphans just arrived, technically they would have been born on Day 11 so they will be taught to talk before kids born on Day 12. I had hoped to do more skills than just "talk" but with so many kids and only two teachers it's impossible.

Who's still around in your Riverblossom Hills hood? I personally like the old ladies. I don't think they get enough love ^.^

Actually the original Riverblossom residents are all there, except for Alexandra Teatherton, (Gabe O'Mackey's ex,) who I extracted into another neighborhood by the sea. I tried to raise the Newsons in Riverblossom Hills, and I had a bunch of Sim State graduates there, but I have decided that all the Newsons besides Gabriella, who fell in love with Briar Greenman (The first non-plantsim kid that Jason and Rose Greenman had,) will move to the city and not be included in the rebuild I'm halfway through.

I was tempted to send off Andrew Martin to the city too, and not include him because he's boring, but he's going to have several grandkids, considering his son is in a polyamorous relationship with Sandra and Jules, and they want three kids apiece.

The old Viejo Ladies got a lot of badges when I assigned them new skills randomly (They've lived full lives, they should have shipped with more skills,) so they've converted their second living room into a space for hobby gatherings. Betty also got a cat by the name of Churchill.

I also have the Ramaswamis and Ottomases in the neighborhood - Peter Ottomas runs a mechanic shop, i.e. an expensive shed where I attempt to have his kids sell cars when he's done refurbishing them. Also, I forgot to cheat so that Samantha would have "replacement" twins when I sim-blendered her pregnancy, so Ottomas #4 is Travis, who is a complete little shit, and the next pregnancy was twin girls.

Other than that, the Daisy Greenman is grown up and running a fruit stand on the side of the highway with her mother, and the six children her parents had after my game started, Gabe O'Mackey married Patricia Wan and had a son, and Cleo Shikibu got sick of looking for Mr. Right in the matchmaker pool and went and adopted a little boy.

... I had a bunch of other bin families moved in, but when I rebuilt I narrowed the list down to the ones I actually wanted to play, aside from my legacy family. Also I'm due a population explosion as soon as I finish the rebuild, because generation one was in college for the most part when my hood exploded, and they're just getting their degrees via the batbox now so I can move on. :D

That sounds exciting! I love hearing how people play with the pre-mades. ^.^

I love the idea of the Ottomases having a mechanic shop! And the Viejo's hobby gathering room! And the Greenman roadside fruit stand! Such great ideas.

I got a bit bored with everybody's jobs, so I started thinking about businesses they could have that wouldn't depend on me being really good at running businesses. :)

... Actually it also helped me get rid of the Greenman family's produce and crafts, which were starting to overflow, since neither Rose nor Daisy slept or had jobs. :)

While LOGICALLY it makes sense - I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE'S THAT MANY TODDLERS!!!! Woooow! I can't imagine running the daycare lmao you're a saint to be able to deal with it all!

ngl I'm so happy they adopted Butterfly! She was my pick, too! Getting two of them really worked out well for them - I mean, it's COSTLY but they run a daycare with 34 tots - they can totally handle two instead of one!

That back to school night tho............... holy shit lmao. I don't even remember now if it's right to say Poor Minka but.... well. POOR MINKA ;___________; That Brodie is real scary lmao

Also I love that you're giving Cindy Lou a narrative befitting of her... rather bizarre behavior as of late!
darkestdawn73darkestdawn73 on November 1st, 2016 02:53 pm (UTC)
I couldn't believe it either! When I was doing the update I thought, "Hmmm, let me count to see how many toddlers I have in the Day Care" and I just about lost it! I'm nuts!

Butterfly definitely is my favorite. I actually hoped that she would be adopted by Noelee and Yasmin the nature gals (I guess because of her name) but I'm glad it was Angie and CL. Angie and Butterfly had a really high relationship score. I didn't realize she had spent so much time with her ^.^

I feel bad for Minka but she ALWAYS starts it. You gotta bring ass to kick ass XD
I love Brodie. She's wicked.

I was really considering killing off Cindy Lou but she makes Angie so happy I couldn't. Then I thought that she should be a witch but wouldn't she already know she's a witch by the time she's a teen? So I just went with "supernatural sensitive." Hopefully next season she won't still barge into sim's houses and mess everything up. But who am I kidding!

And here I'd thought I'd gone wild in my first rotational hood with my ingame born kids! Haha!! (Tho my issue was so many from so few families and not introducing families but I've learned my lesson.) It's going to be so crazy seeing them all grow up - I'm really excited about that part - but yee gosh once they're old enough to move out! LMAO GOSH!!!!

Ohhh with Nolee and Yasmin would have made sense! But I'm really happy she's got a home, period! It's so great how the sims can surprise you and uproot your plans.

LMAOOOO you need to start working out or something, Minka. Or at least stop letting your emotions lead you to bad decisions! I love you but you're asking for it!
I'd be worried that Brodie would literally kill Minka if she had the opportunity, tbh!!!

LMAO Cindy Lou really escaped a dire fat. I guess it could have been played off as dormant inaccessed powers that sort of manifested buuuut this way definitely seems more logical. And anyway I'm really looking forward to seeing how you play out Elise. I might be playing faves right now with Butterfly, but supernaturals get a soft spot, too!

34 toddlers!? Wow, some people have been busy

Cindy Lou's really adorable here. I hope her book will do great.

I feel sorry for Minka here, she can be a bitch, but getting double-teamed like this is just cruel.

Angie and CL are taking the whole motherhood really well. At least the kids will never be in need of playmates.

As an aside, that dreaded girl in the gif looks a lot like Angie.
darkestdawn73darkestdawn73 on November 2nd, 2016 12:54 am (UTC)
I know, right! I have the same number of toddlers as adults. *smh*

I hope so too considering she has zero income coming into the household. Hopefully this is the first of a series.

I agree. Brodie and Kendrick are too much for one sim.

That's Cosima from Orphan Black and yep, I basically made-over Angie to look just like her ^.^
